Oh, how much I love cider!
Today we picked up our share of apples from Royal National Orthopaedic Hospital Ancient Orchard. Stephanie, the project leader from The ‘Orchard Project’ has organised some kind and hard working volunteers to harvest the ripe and delicious apples from the Orchard. They all gathered early Sunday morning after their church service and happily picked a massive pile. The scheme that Orchard Project offers to any orchard leaders is a third share of the harvest goes to the orchard and two thirds to charity Orchard Project.
We have picked up our share and now we are preparing to make it into cider. Half of our apples are aimed to be distributed to the various hospitals and food banks around London. The other half is going to be turned into a delicious alcoholic beverage. Cheers.
